Essien - there is no other player in the premiership or the world that can cover the amount of positions he can and still be at world class level. he can play at the backs, on the wings, amazing box player, can play in the midfield, practically anywhere. i wouldn't be surprised if he gave forward a try. He isn't restricted to one position like cesc is. cesc is a great player but i think essien is an unsung hero that that pretty much never sets a foot wrong and easily the best complete play in chelsea and/or the world.this is of course mho so yeah.

i think fabregas is a great playmaker.....he's 21.....lot's of talent...but anyway if both of the above happens, i think he'll be the bestbut still he won't be the one and the only one.....he'll be one of the best along with players like torres and others!

Not quite yet; I think Gerrard will likely be the best player 'cos he is more mature, is a good leader & scores more goals. His club achievement is pretty good too since he has claim more titles than Fabregas (if you can forget about England's woeful international results). Not to forget that english fans usually think better of english players than foreign players.Fabregas may have to wait at least another year to become the #1 EPL player; so far in Euro 2008 he has only played the supersub role (though I would like to see him as a starter tomorrow in the finals) but his future is real bright.PS. for those thumb downs, Gerrard has been voted into UEFA team of the year in 2005,2006 & 2007, whereas Fab was voted only into team 2006. 200000 users can't get it wrong.
