I am having a mixed orchid bouquet like this http://www.ftd.com/yahoostore1/catalog/product.epl?product_id=F385&external=5964&campaign _id=yahooshopping_F385&srccode=cii_1038957&cpncode =09-57913129-2 >> I love the summer colours and the sort of wild look - not manicured.I would love for the bridesmaids to have something similar but in pinks and purples and white (different shades of pinks and purples are our colours - sweetpea colours) but unfortunately can't afford for them to have orchids.Could you suggest something that might give a similar look - but of another flower or mix of flowers - that is likely to be less expensive? Many thanksAlso - perhaps something in similar colours? That sort of summery mix of pinks and oranges and yellows etc - but what flowers? How would this look? http://www.teleflora.com/flowers/bouquet/Calypso-167879p.asp?promotioncode=Shop15&srccode=yahoos_&c iisourcecode=cii_1038957&cpncode=10-66829472-2

I think the alternative you have suggested is just a little too busy. Why not go for something like stocks...I just saw some in M&S and they are beautiful, quite wild looking & smell beautiful. They come in all colours, so you could choose similar colours to your bouquet.

Why not have silk flowers for the bridesmaids? They are very realistic these days, and obviously, not as expensive as the real thing....though you could always pop one or two real flowers amongst the silk ones

Your bouquet choice is lovely. The link for the bridesmaids is a nice combination -Alstroemeria might be a choice to look into - they kind of give the same feeling as your bouquet, but you don't need to have as full a bouquet for them as in this pic -http://www.fairviewflorist.com/cgi-bin/fairviewitem-dba.cgi/fvihvhttp://flower.ws/info.asp?id=41815&ProductCode=2020

I think these are cute, they are smaller so price would be good. You could even change the flowers a bit. I would maybe use an orchid since it is so small. http://bloomex.ca/wedding/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=74

Do the orchids in the same colors, only in silk. This was they have a keepsake and you save money. Hobby Lobby has them.

Consider sweetpeas or maybe mini snap dragons. You can do just a few sprigs in a handtied bouquet for bridesmaids
